Administrative announcement: Actuarial Guidelines 49 updated

Effective March 1, 2017, a revision to Actuarial Guideline 49, which specifies the standard for determining the maximum illustrated rate (MIR) for indexed universal life (IUL) policies, will apply to all IUL policies, including in-force policies sold prior to September 1, 2015. Previously, this standard only applied to IUL policies sold on or after September 1, 2015.

This change became effective for all Securian IUL illustrations on February 18, 2017.
